CARY HOSTS TOP HOOPSTERS

Many of North Carolina's top high school basketball players will participate in the Carolina Challenge at Cary Academy on Saturday.

The theme of the day: "Are you recruitable?"

"Many of these players dream of playing in the Atlantic Coast Conference," said Dave Telep, the event organizer and a top talent evaluator.

"The players understand the skills they need on the court, but sometimes they don't understand that what they do off the court may determine if they can be recruited by ACC teams."

Play begins at 9:30 a.m. and will continue until around 6:30 p.m. with occasional breaks.

The public is invited. Admission will be free.
